Student Opportunities: World Link’s programs are scholarship based cross-cultural exchange programs that involve more than being visitors from another country. As an exchange student with World Link students are exposed to community development projects that the government has failed to address. These community development projects that reach across borders will effect positive change through student involvement. Students will also experience cross-cultural education to improve their international understanding in order to effectively cooperate at the international level, in order to proceed smoothly with development projects.
Best Time To Be Reached: During regular business hours, Monday-Friday by either toll free telephone or local calling. Students may also fax World Link, as well as e-mail.
Time Commitment For Opportunities: Because World Link is an international student exchange program, students should expect to dedicate a semester, or more, of study abroad wherever they may choose to go.
Training Needed: World Link is not an organization that has student volunteers or interns. Rather selection for World Link’s exchange program is competitive and completely merit-based.
Opportunity Descriptions: International opportunity and experience are provided to the exchange student through international study, community development programs, cross-cultural education as well as a comprehensive tolerance of diversity program. In turn, these all facilitate a students ability to oversee international development programs.
Regions Served: World Link international student exchange program sends students to Eurasia, Afghanistan, Balkans, Serbia & Montenegro and the Republic of Georgia.
Additional Notes/What Does This Organization Do? World Link is a unique exchange organization that conducts only publically sponsored exchange programs that serve a citizen diplomacy mission.World Link’s primary objective is to introduce exchange students to the world and facilitate learning and international understanding. By making a student a “citizen of the world,” students will be prepared for international development projects and can be an “agent of change.”
