Latinos United of Iowa, Council 307, is the local chapter of the national League of United Latin American Citizens. The council was formed to implement jobs, education, and health care resources for the growing Latino community within Iowa. Latinos United of Iowa branch of LULAC has just started in October 2011 and this council provides awareness to residents about language and immigration issues, sponsor programs and advocate for Latino-sponsored programs.

Since Latinos United just started their charter, they are currently seeking more support to jump start the program. They are offering volunteer positions or paid internships, the internship will naturally require medium-high level of involvement of about 20 hours a week.  They would like people to research and raise awareness in order to build the organization and reach out to more Latinos in the community. A knowledge of excel and google documents is recommended. Call for more information about applying and what the internship entails.
